Share Your Love of Taupo

Towncentre Taupo is wrapping windows of empty shops in the Taupo CBD with beautiful imagery to help keep the town centre looking vibrant. In order to create unique, personal, local imagery, we are asking everyone who loves Taupo to share their photos with us. Your photos will be turned into collages, collections and, in some cases, stand alone images to beautify our town.

Have a look at the categories, and start sharing your photos in as many as you like!

Please upload your photos in as high quality as possible in JPG or PNG format.

Show Us Your Bubble

Help us capture this crazy time in history, and share your lockdown photos of you and your family or flatmates enjoying your bubble.  We are looking for people photos!

Lockdown Creativity

We know Kiwis tapped into their creative genes during lockdown to keep everyone entertained.  Share photos of anything you created - photos of sculptures, drawings, baking, lawn art, maybe a house of cards!  Photos of creative works from all ages, children to professionals, is welcome.

Share Your Love of This Place

Show us what you love doing in the Taupo District!  We are talking boating, picnics, fun in the snow, cafe culture, swimming, skiing, shopping, mountain biking, gourmet food, rafting and so much more.  We want to see photos of people enjoying all the best our district has to offer.

Nature Photography

The Taupo District is notorious for rainbows, sunsets, beautiful bush, lakes, rivers, mountains, birds.  From photos taken by complete novices on smartphones to hi-end professional photographers, all nature photos are welcome!

I am passionate about Taupo as a destination to live, work and play. I love to show off what we have in this great region which revolves around a strong town centre. I was previously on the Board for 7 years and have returned as I believe we need to work together with all interested parties to continue creating a vibrant and thriving town centre.

Taupo is such a diverse and exciting place to live, and I have a passion for outdoor activities such as mountain biking, snowboarding, skiing and water sports. Could there be anywhere better to combine all these activities at my doorstep, all while being a safe environment to raise a family?

Having the ability to encourage change and invest time into making my town more progressive and a complete destination is an opportunity created by volunteering for Towncentre Taupo, and I can’t see myself living anywhere else! The TCT Board is a forward thinking group of people that can benefit all business in Taupo, hopefully, including my own.

I came to Taupo in 2000 when my husband Des and myself purchased the McDonald's Restaurant here. I love Taupo with a passion and firmly believe that Taupo is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I was on the first TCT board for a number of years and am really pleased to be back 'on board' again alongside an equally passionate and diverse working group who hold the same cornerstone values and ideals for the wellbeing and vibrancy of our township and community. I believe it is important to give back to this town what it gives to me.

I was born and bred in Taupo and have always called it home. With real estate in my blood, I returned to Taupo in 2006 to join the family firm at Westerman Property Solutions, a company operating in Taupo for over 50 years. I am passionate about driving business and industry to Taupo.

After being born and raised in Taupo, I have developed a real love of this place. The Town Centre is the heart of Taupo and there is nothing like seeing the town bustling on a Saturday morning. I would love to see more days like this and believe Taupo has all the attributes, as a place to live and visit, to make this happen.

I have been actively involved in a town centre business for the past 21 years, running Replete Café. The heart of all great communities is a vibrant CBD and my passion has seen me strongly advocate for the enhancement and sustainability of the Taupo town centre.

I have many happy childhood memories of holidays in Taupo, and after years away living in different size towns all over the world, I was thrilled when we moved here 5 years ago. In that time I have fallen more in love with Taupo and its surrounding areas. I feel so lucky to now work with TCT and its board, who all love Taupo and want to work towards preserving and enhancing this really special place. #LOVETAUPO!

I chose Taupo as my home over 20 years ago and feel privileged to live, work and play here. My mission is to protect and enhance this boutique, unique town that I absolutely love by delivering on the plan set by the TCT Board each year. It is an absolute pleasure to work with such an energetic and motivated Board.
